All funds raised will go directly from the charity to communities and projects on the ground to help the redevelopment and welfare of the people of Nepal.
Through the long term association with Nepal and its communities the appeal will identify projects to support across the country in the form of financial aid, welfare and hands on contribution.
The ‘Nepal Appeal’ was started as a result of the Major Earthquake that devastated Nepal on 25th April 2015.
Live The Adventure Director/Founder Anthony Eddies Davies, calls Nepal his second home after 25 years visiting and working there, with many friends, colleagues, and communities affected as a result of the disaster.
Live the Adventure has guided trekking, rafting and safari trips for over a decade offering others the opportunity to experience the splendor of its scenery and the unique warm hospitality of the people that live there.
The immediate realisation was that the country would need support, now and well into the future to rebuild the communities so badly affected, and a means of putting money directly into these communities and projects to benefit the people that live there.
Live The Adventure’s ethos is to support those communities it has the privilege to travel to, and has over the years contributed funds, staff, and support to establish school facilities, community projects and training programs for local guides, forming a long term bond with the people and communities across Nepal.
Directly after the earthquake the appeal and charity was set up to raise funds specifically for the long term redevelopment of these communities. Whilst vital aid and support after the disaster has been essential, the reality is that the people of Nepal will require financial support well into the future to recover from something of this scale.
The ‘Nepal Appeal’ is a registered UK charity in compliance with the UK charity Commission. It operates an independent charity bank account for donations and fundraising, administered by a board of trustees.
